Terms of Service

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to the organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

MarriageHunt provides software and infrastructure for discovering, applying to, and attending host-led in-person gatherings, including optional guest vetting, paid ticketing, digital tickets, venue reveals, check-in tools, and host payout workflows.

We are not a dating or matchmaking platform. We do not guarantee romantic outcomes, compatibility, or introductions. Hosts are independent organizers; MarriageHunt does not control the conduct of hosts or attendees at offline events except as needed to enforce these Terms and platform policies.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. Beta or preview features may be offered as-is without warranty.

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate information, keep your email secure, and notify us of unauthorized access.
• Sign-in uses email one-time codes; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose safety risks, or fail vetting or payment verification.
• Account deletion is available where offered; some records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you create or manage events as a host, you agree that:

• You are solely responsible for your gatherings, including accuracy of listings, capacity, pricing, venue safety, and compliance with local laws, permits, alcohol rules, and venue requirements.
• You will use guest information only to operate your events and not for unrelated marketing, resale, or harassment.
• Paid events require completion of Stripe Connect onboarding and identity verification (or approved platform vetting) before publishing, as implemented in the product.
• You will honor approved applications, communicate material changes to guests, and cooperate with refund and dispute processes.
• You grant MarriageHunt a limited license to display your event content, photos, and branding to operate and promote the Service.
• Platform fees and payout timing follow the fee schedule shown at checkout or in host tools and may change with notice.

• Applications and purchases are subject to host approval where enabled; payment does not guarantee admission until the workflow completes.
• You agree to attend in good faith, follow host and venue rules, and behave respectfully toward other attendees.
• Tickets are personal unless we explicitly allow transfer; QR codes and secret locations must not be shared publicly.
• You are responsible for your own transportation, health decisions, and conduct at in-person events.

Ticket purchases are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy policy. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the ticket price, applicable taxes, and any disclosed platform or processing fees.

Host payouts are sent to connected Stripe accounts subject to Stripe's review, holding periods, chargeback reserves, and compliance checks. MarriageHunt is not a bank and does not hold funds except as reflected in platform ledger and payout features.

You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service unless we are required by law to collect and remit them.

Refund eligibility depends on host policy, event status, and platform rules implemented in the product (including host-approved refund requests and administrative review). Unless required by law, all ticket sales are final once completed except where a refund is approved through the Service.

Chargebacks and payment disputes may result in ticket cancellation, account suspension, and offset against host balances. We may share transaction evidence with Stripe and payment networks as permitted by law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for illegal activity, fraud, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or exploitation.
• Misrepresent your identity, scrape or reverse engineer the platform, or interfere with security or rate limits.
• List events you do not have authority to run, or sell tickets to unsafe, misleading, or prohibited gatherings.
• Circumvent application, vetting, or payment flows; resell tickets in violation of host rules.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.

We may remove content, cancel events, withhold payouts, or report activity to authorities when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or creates risk to users.

The Service, including software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by MarriageHunt or its licensors. Except for limited rights to use the Service, no license is granted. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MARRIAGEHUNT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR THE CONDUCT OF HOSTS OR GUESTS AT OFFLINE EVENTS.

MarriageHunt is not a party to agreements between hosts and guests except as stated in these Terms. Any optional AI-assisted or automated features are for convenience only and must not be relied on for legal, financial, medical, or safety decisions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MARRIAGEHUNT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ATTENDANCE AT EVENTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO MARRIAGEHUNT FOR THE TICKET OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MarriageHuntand its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your events or attendance, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, non-payment, or legal requirements. Sections that by nature should survive (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply.

Except where prohibited, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Before filing suit, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt informal resolution.

If you are a consumer in the EEA/UK, you may also have rights to use local dispute resolution mechanisms where applicable.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on marriagehunt.com with a new effective date. Material changes may be notified by email or in-product message. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
